The Brief:
The brief for this coastal cottage near Port Navas Creek was to embrace its rustic seaside character, blending charm with comfort to create a welcoming retreat where guests feel instantly at home.
The colour palette combined warm, earthy tones to add depth and cosiness, balanced with soothing blues and soft greens inspired by the surrounding sea and river landscapes, evoking a sense of calm and serenity throughout.
The snug was designed as an intimate haven for relaxation, a space to read, watch a film or unwind after a long journey. The main reception room, the first space to greet guests, was carefully curated to feel both inviting and uplifting. Deep, comfortable sofas and layered textures enhance the warmth of the room, with the original fireplace thoughtfully styled as its focal point.
